So, we are building a few bikes for vintage racing next year here out at PIR, for OMMRA. ( http://www.omrra.com )

So, with that said, let me start this thread.

Lots to come, so stay tuned.

First is Jons 350 head.

All work done by Mike Rieck of Boston, head-man extraordinaire.
Here is a view of the 1mm over kibblewhite stainless intake valves, and very nicely deshrouded chamber.

Next is the top of the head. Heavy duty racing springs, Ti Retainers, and some other things I can't tell you about. It's a secret. This head has been setup to accept the lumpiest cam available.

Third is stage 3 porting job, intake side.

And the porting on the exhaust side.

As I said, much more to come, and also on my personal bike for the track next year, another cb350. Will be similar to this, but with some differences to the head.

Here are his cases apart. I know, not exciting.

And the crank, which is currently in boston, being balanced.

I will have pictures of the crank and con rod work as soon as they come back to Portland.

So, I wanted to show the work that MRieck has done for me, Jon, and our racing bikes.

Here is the balanced crankshaft sent out to Mike. He had some help with it, but I can't for the life of me remember who it is. Some guy who makes drag racing GS's.

We've been working on adapting wiseco xr200 pistons to our builds, but to get Jons build expedited, I went ahead and ordered Boretechs 12.5:1 CR 362cc pistons.

Here you can see the Boretech piston on the left, and the (not finished) xr200 piston on the right. The Boretechs are within half a gram of each other out of the box. The xr200 pistons weigh a few grams less.

I'll be posting the stuff for my personal bike soon. Enjoy.

As always, Mikes stuff is top notch, and has so much care taken to be reliable, strong and well-performing
